During the spring break in the Spring 2021 semester, I initiated a design workshop at the professional business organization, Delta Sigma Pi, from Baruch College as a design mentor to educate mentees who have non-design-related backgrounds.

The design workshop was held to guide them to learn how to approach their design process from the beginning. The contents were based on the principles of design and their examples to lecture the basic knowledge of the rule of graphic, style tile/mood board to organize the ideas better, useful resources to apply to their design process, and designer's behaviors to keep them in mind.

I borrowed the graphic template from the website, https://www.miricanvas.com/, and edited the slides by creating and recreating some slides by myself. I focused on giving a passionate atmosphere by using the red color and keeping the modern style to convey the contents clearly and aesthetically as well.

This workshop facilitated the mentees to learn about the design knowledge and the design process that helped them make graphic design posts for their marketing and PowerPoint slides for their presentations successfully. Moreover, it lowered barriers for them to approach appropriate and aesthetic design based on the logic that they became more confident creating graphics and appreciated the workshop.
